I’ve taken a few weeks off to visit my SIX grand babies in two different states. In fact right now as I’m typing, I’m holding my newest + cutest little guy born just weeks ago 🙂 But as you know, I can’t resist a little shopping adventure so I popped into the Scottsdale Nordstrom at Fashion Square. While there, I was invited to preview the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale assortment (scroll below for more details on that) and then of course, I had to do a little shopping myself! In this post, I’m sharing six trends that are definitely worth a shopping spree of your own!
You can find my shopping content all linked on my Shopltk/rosehayes page. The SHOPLTK shopping platform is the most downloaded App for good reason. There are so many great perks so if you love to shop like me, make sure to download the app for an easier shopping experience 🙂
These are the trends I’ve invested in and think you should too!
I’ve always had a passion for shopping and finding new must-haves that are worth buying. Part of my job is doing massive trend research and scouring what’s available, then I edit it all and bring you what I think is the best value and worth considering. Sharing all my favorite finds (including what I’ve bought myself lately) in this little blog of mine has been a fun way to connect with all of you. And by the way, I am truly thankful you’re here!!
1 | DENIM AND CARGO MAXI SKIRTS
I’ve been especially into denim and cargo maxi skirts lately. To clarify, maxi lengths are a little longer than midi lengths but not floor length. I wear my denim Rag and Bone skirt on casual days with a graphic t shirt but when the weather gets chillier, I’ll add a tall boot and sheer bow blouse for a 80’s inspired vibe. The other day, I wore my white denim maxi skirt with a front slit and had so many compliments and requests for links! When I spotted the olive twill cargo maxi skirt above, I literally gasped and knew it would sell out quick. You can shop all of these skirts here:
2 | BUCKET BAGS
Have you noticed all the coolest influencers with little bucket bags lately? Every designer has a version of this adorable trending handbag. Although the pricey YSL and Bottega Veneta versions are swoon worthy, I went with an affordable option with a classic French esthetic – by Longchamp. And I also found the perfect wedge that matches my cognac bucket bag perfectly if I do say so myself 🙂

3 | SWAP OUT BORING PANTS FOR FUN PANTS
Aren’t these Free People painters pants so fun?!! I love the toggle at the bottom which can cinched up and worn with heels and an oversized blazer for a funky dressed up look. They run slightly big (I’m wearing size 4).

4 | SLIP SKIRTS & DRESSES
As I was leaving I spotted this gorgeous silver slip dress, so of course I turned around and headed back to the fitting room. I have many slip dresses but this one is a little dressier in silver and a little shorter than my others. It hits right below the knee and feels like a fresh length to wear now. Its so versatile, I’ll wear with a hoodie and sneakers, as well with an oversized blazer and heels! I love this French brand, their slip dresses are so good! The straps are adjustable but I think the neckline is still slightly low for me. Not a problem tho because I picked up this silk pattern scarf here that will fill in that space and make me feel less exposed, problem solved!
I wrote a post about slip dresses a while back, you can read it here.
I’ve been drawn to lavender everything lately! This color feels so pretty, feminine and romantic. There is a matching long sleeve top in mesh that goes perfectly (linked below) but I liked this white camp shirt with it instead. Try a slip skirt with a denim jacket + graphic t shirt or vest.
5 | SLINGBACK PUMPS
There’s something so simple yet chic about slingback kitten heels paired with jeans and a great white shirt that I love. The other day I was eyeing a great black (red and nude was great too) patent slingback low heel that I’m strongly considering. Learn what to wear with the new shoe trends here.

6 | DECONSTRUCTED AND REIMAGINED
This R13 dress is deconstructed and reimagined. What looks like a white shirt tied at the waist is actually attached and oh so cool looking, don’t you think? When I get back to Pittsburgh, I’ll play with shoe options. Right now, I think a chunky lug soled boot would give it an edgy and cool esthetic. This is a great work dress and I’ll enjoy wearing it during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale when I work extra long hours.
7 | NOTABLE MENTIONS
Although these notable mentions couldn’t make it back home with me, they are fantastic and I highly recommend them all!
The mesh studded sandals are a designer dupe that retail over $750 so these are a great buy under $30. They are a 4″ chunky heel which is (sadly) a little too high to work all day in.
These green Ganni cargos should have come home with me, because I love the fit and color! I have something similar so they got left behind but I’m still thinking about them:)
I love a dressy pair of shorts with a heel. These were the perfect length!
Rails has been killing it with great practical dresses lately! This lovely pattern dress was super flattering on and priced well. It’s perfect for so many events this summer!
Stella McCartney’s white lace sneaker above looks like a cloud and it’s just as comfortable as it looks! I hated to leave these behind, till next time…
