THE BEST CONCERT OUTFITS ALWAYS START WITH THESE TWO ESSENTIALS …
When you get an invitation to a party or event, do you immediately get a little nervous about what you will wear before you even decide if you’re going? If you answered yes, this tip is for you!
My daughter just got tickets for the charity concert with Luke Combs and Eric Church to benefit Hurricane Helene victims. She literally just asked me what she should wear!
Here is an easy formula that should take some of the stress of what to wear! So the next time you are stumped on what to wear to a concert or any casual event, remember this easy formula: Jeans + Boots + Top + Third Layer + Accessories
What you add on to your foundation of jeans + boots is what will make it more uniquely you! The top, third layer and the accessories you’ve chosen will showcase your style and personality. For example, a third layer such as an oversized blazer or crop faux fur jacket dictates the style direction.
Next, add a detail or two to further enhance the vibe you want to achieve. Your accessories are the final touches that can take an OK outfit and make it more interesting, more hip, more glam, more extra!
JEANS
Start with JEANS. Your jeans should be current, modern and on trend. They are the foundation and the essential building block for the majority of your outfits, so invest in at least one great-fitting incredible pair of denim that makes you feel amazing!
Here are a few of my favs that should be on your radar too! BTW several just went on sale so go ahead and get yourself a few updated jeans.
BOOTS
Wearing the right boots is critical to getting your look right. Nothing ruins a great pair of jeans than old outdated boots. Sorry, but its true! I remember a closet edit I did a few years ago. My customer brought out a pair of expensive but very old Prada boots. I’m sure they were fabulous at the time, but now looked so dated. Hence, every new outfit we tried on with those old boots – looked tired and dated!
Here are a few great choices that work with all types of jeans …
‘STATEMENT MAKING’ THIRD LAYERS
“If variety is the spice of life, third layers are my style seasonings!” me
If you walked into my closet(s) right now, you would find dozens of blazers, leather jackets, sequin vests and blazers, faux fur cropped jackets, great trench coats, and many more third layer pieces that make my heart sing. These are the pieces that have the biggest impact when you’re adding to your jeans + boots foundation.
THE GIFTING SEASON HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!
I always thought gift shopping was more productive if I took care of myself first (even just a new pair of socks can scratch that itch).
It’s like putting your oxygen mask on first before effectively helping others. Otherwise, you might become overwhelmed and unable to shop for anyone effectively!
This advice is what helped me over the past 16 years as a personal stylist shopping for hundreds of gifts on my customers holiday lists. I actually loved doing my customers holiday shopping!
