MAKE A STATEMENT THIRD PIECES
The third piece is essential when creating killer outfits. This usually is a blazer or jacket but can also be a scarf, vest or 3rd piece that completes your outfit. Let’s take a simple shirt and pant, for example. Its pretty boring right? But see what happens when you add a third piece on top.. lets say, you add the leopard jacket like the one above. Now it looks more finished and interesting. Even better is a dramatic statement 3rd piece like the ones linked below. All of a sudden, you’re the most interesting person in the room!

COOL BOOTS
Ideally, a good working wardrobe should have at least one tall chic boot to wear with skirts and dresses. Equally important is a short boot or bootie which is perfect to wear with trousers and jeans. Obviously, a black pair is essential but a camel/tan color will come in handy when black isn’t the right choice. Right now I’m loving suede and croc embossed tall boots.
If you’ve been following for any length of time, you know how much I love and wear boots. In fact, even in the summer – I find ways to wear boots!

BARREL JEANS
Everyone was skeptical when Barrel jeans first came on the fashion scene. However, now they are everywhere from high end designer brands to big retailers like The Gap and Abercrombie. They have been named the silhouette to own for 2025 by major fashion publications. There are many variations of this jean with varying degrees of volume. If you’re a fashionista but on the fence, try one of the less extreme variations like this one here at Madewell.

Belts are back and making a fashion statement. They have always been a necessary accessory but lately, belts have taken on a new role. Studded belts, western belts, wide belts and wrap belts have all become a way to stand out and bring more style to your outfit.
